- Diagnosis
- Leaves simply pinnate. Rachis straight to slightly curved. Leaflets linear to narrow lanceolate, straight to slightly falcate, tapering towards the apex,
slightly contracted near the base. Base decurrent, apex acute. Margin entire. Leaflet insertion subopposite on rachis sides at 60–85 to rachis with broad base. Leaflets more crowded upwards and overlapping. Ten to fifteen veins enter the leaflets, often dichotomizing close to the base. No anastomoses.
Leaf hypostomatic. Stomata haplocheilic, arranged in bands. Guard cells sunken and overarched by high number of subsidiaries (8–11) forming centripetally a strongly cutinized coronal rim. Subsidiaries arranged radially. Ordinary epidermal cells uniformly thickened. Two-celled trichome bases in both stomatal and nonstomatal areas.
