Diagnosis
Leaves simple, entire, from small to large, usually medium in size. Leaf lamina rounded, elliptical-ovate or elliptical-triangular, often irregular in shape, asymmetric. Leaf base truncate, rounded or slightly cordate, shortly cuneate, decurrent. Leaf apex variable, broadly rounded, obtuse or mucronate, rarely tapered. Leaf margin entire, undulate or with rare irregular teeth. Venation brochidodromous or partially craspedodromous. Secondary veins 7–9 pairs, often non-parallel, usually sinuous, branching and looping far before leaf margin. Angle between the lower secondary veins and the midrib about 90°, decreases towards the leaf apex.
