Trilete, bilaterally monosaccate or rarely bisaccate pollen grain. Corpus circular, dense, always darker than sacci; corpus exine faintly infrarugulate. Trilete mark small, indistinct, simple and often off-set from the proximal pole. Sacci infrareticulate, filamentous, usually connected in the region of the equator by a narrow strip of exine. Saccus attachment indistinct; proximal and distal polar areas always uncovered however. Dimensions: Equatorial diameter (15 specimens) overall 41-48 um, corpus 20-27 um.
