- Wood ring porous; earlywood vessels in 2–3 rows;
solitary or up to 4 vessels in radial multiples; latewood pores generally
in clusters and diagonal bands. Rays are narrow (1–2-seriate) and
heterocellular with one or two rows of upright cells. Ray body cells procumbent,
