- Leaflets glabrous, with subsessile petiolules
and inequilateral lamina; stipules elliptical,
with ventral surface glabrous and dorsal surface
hirsute; bracts orbicular; bracteoles broadly ovate to
nearly orbicular, with ventral surface glabrous and
dorsal surface hirsute; receptacle with glabrous stipe
in centre of hypanthium; sepals four, persistent, elliptical,
both surfaces hirsute; showy petals brown, early
caducous, clawed with the lamina expanded proximally
into basal lobes; reduced petals persistent, polymorphic;
ovary glabrous except for long hairs on the
basal portion which continue onto the stipe, surface
verrucose; stamens early caducous, with glabrous filaments
and linear, bilocular, dorsifixed, longitudinally
dehiscent anthers.
