- Cells undifferentiated into veins and mesh areas, elongate, polygonal to irregular, arranged irregularly, 8-30 x 4-12 um in size; anticlinal walls of the cells straight to slightly arched, 0.5 um wide, surface walls usually smooth, sometimes granulate; stomata oval to circular, cyclocytic or intermediate between laterocytic and cyclocytic, superficial, 12-20 x 10-18 um in size, irregular in distibution and orientation, guard cells kidney shaped, 12-20 x 2-6 um in size, width of guard cell walls 0.5 um, weakly developed 'T’ pieces present on poles, stomatal slit linear, mostly closed, 8-12 x 0.5-3 um, stomatal index varying from 8.5 to 11, rarely wrinkled, angular idioblast cells present, 10 x 8 um in size.
