- Diagnosis
 
- Stems 14–25 mm width, narrowest just above departure of branches widening distally up to departure of next branch; lacking enations or ornament. First order branches decurrent, inserted without obvious geometrical regularity, 5–12mmin diameter at base, up to at least 190mmlong, straight; second order branches inserted on first order in alternate to opposite pattern, distally forked with slightly recurved, somewhat blunt tips; ultimate units 1–1.4mm wide, often abaxially recurved, terminally forked with recurved tips; overall architecture of sterile lateral branches essentially planate, tending towards pinnate. Fertile first order branches 4.5–7.5mm in width, bearing three-dimensionally inserted second order branches, 0.5–2mm wide, to which are attached more or less discoidal sporangia, 1.2–1.6mm×0.9–1.3 mm, on long, narrow, probably bifurcated or trifurcated stalks which widen at the attachment to the sporangium.
