- Small tree, maximum stem diameter approximately 5 cm. Leaf bases present
as cushions, diamond shaped, approximately 14 mm high and 9 mm wide, radially planar. Keels present in lower and upper fields, each bearing several pronounced transverse plications. Lateral line that divides lower and upper fields slopes downward from the lateral angle of the leaf scar and intersects the lower cushion margin. Leaf cushions arranged in orthostichies and steeply helical parastichies, lacking longitudinal ribs on the stem surface. Leaf scar hexagonal, approximately 4.5 mm high, 6 mm wide, upper lateral margins convex, lower lateral margins concave, upper central margin linear to slightly dimpled, lower central margin rounded. Scar located centrally in and sunken into cushion. Leaf vascular trace circular, indented, approximately 0.5 mm in diameter, located 4/5 of the way up leaf scar. Foliar parichnos scars lunate, approximately 0.8 mm long, located 3/5 up the scar angled inwards toward midline of scar. Ligule scar a small circular dimple, indented, 0.5 mm above top of leaf scar, approximately 0.4 mm in diameter, slightly obscured by well-developed upper keel and plications. Leaves linear, angled toward axis apex, 2–3 mm in width and N 10 cm long. Rooting structure and reproductive material unknown.
