Diagnosis
Tetrahedral tetrad; amb of individual elements circular with very thin, completely smooth exine. The curvaturae are thick and well developed; the commissures raised and a prominent margo present. Commissures and margo are markedly thicker than the remainder of the spore body and this is accentuated by the fact that these structures accept stain more readily. Dimensions: Equatorial diameter of entire tetrad (32 specimens) 55-70 um.
