Hollick (in Monogr. U.S. Geol. Surv. 50: 71. Dec 1906) inadmissibly designated his type specimen (Glen Cove, Long Island, Pl. XXVI, fig. 15. Collected by Arthur Hollick) in spite of Ward's original specimens, described and figured in 1896.
