- Fruits a samara, apedicellate, with sometimes persistenting perianth, grouped in pairs or clusters of 3–7, adjoined by a single lateral, more or less asymmetrical wing, rounded at the apex, orientated oblique to the long axis of the endocarp, with 6–14 subparallel veins, including marginal veins and sometimes thinner veins, originating at different points along the base of the wing and curved to converge toward a stigmatic area at the distal, adaxial margin; with occasionally crossties or dichotomies. Secondary wing lacking. Stigmatic notch “V” shaped, more or less deep and thickly marked, with a suture line, running between the cleft and the endocarp, orientated at acute angle to long axis of the wing. Endocarp with reticulate ribbing.
