- Morphological features. Platispermic seed, cuneiform, symmetrical; apex cordiform, ending in one or two triangular appendices. Base cuneate. Wing enveloping the nucellus, narrower at the base, and with margin entire. Anatomical features. Wing cells elongated and polyhedric with 4-6 sides, narrower at margins. Each cell has a single pore in the external periclinal wall.
