- Permineralized, short, globose, nontunicate, unconstricted corm with nodes and internodes. Roots arranged in rings in the internode region. Cortex
incorporating abundant mucilage cavities. Vascular region with fibrovascular bundles (Type-I and Type-II) and amphivasal bundles in equal number. Vessels present; endplate with 0-3 bars.
