When validated, the fossil-genus included in synonymy the type species of the formerly validly published fossil-genus Trichotomosulcites Couper (in New Zealand Geol. Surv. Paleontol. Bull. 22: 64. 26 Aug 1953), Trichotomosulcites subgranulatus Couper (l.c.).
