Diagnosis
Anatomically preserved ovule with bilateral symmetry, ovate–orbicular in longitudinal section, circular in external cross-section, with pronounced longitudinal ribs and internal integumentary groove dividing the seed coat into two valves. Ribs rise from a flattened, concave base, with central attachment scar, extending to a pointed apex with conical micropyle. Integument three layered. Nucellus attached to integument at base; nucellar apex comprising a small pollen chamber and nucellar beak.
