- Leaves lanceolate, elongate at apex, wedge-shaped at base, 10 to 15 cm long and 1 to 3 cm wide; margin finely and sharply denticulate/serrate; petiole short or none; midvein very thick; lateral veinlets given off at an angle of about 45°, numerous, inosculating at their summits; intervals between them filled with a polygonal and relatively coarse network.
