- Pollen grains in loose tetrahedral tetrads, monads common; individual grains monoporate, pores distal, circular, clearly annulate, pores large in relation to grain size; exine: clearly stratified, sexine thicker than nexine which thickens at pores, sexine reticulate on distal to almost scrobiculate on proximal surfaces, often detached.
