- Diagnosis
- Pollen grain spherical to subspherical, polyporate, pores circular, scattered all over the surface. Spinose, spines ranging from 4 to 16 pm long, blunt to long tapering, broader at the base, sparsely or densely present all over the surface. Exine thick, c. 2.5 um between the spines; sexine as thick as nexine, slightly depressed at the base of the spines, columellae distinct. Surface of exine between the spines smooth.
