- Diagnosis
- Corm very short, wide, unlobed, bearing spirally arranged sterile leaves and sporophylls. Sporophylls and sterile leaves ovate, lanceolate. Ligulate sporophylls with a basal and ellipsoid-ovate sporangium. Sterile leaves with air channels and a thin midvein. Normal epidermal cells of sporophylls and sterile leaves more or less rectangular, slightly elongate, aligned in longitudinal rows; cells surrounding the sporangium isodiametric (pentagonal) and rectangular. Stomata and papillae absent.
