Diagnosis
Fruit valve bisymmetrical, foliaceous, membranous, ovate or oblong. Base acute, apex round or retuse. Margin delimited by a thick vein. Venation prominent, midvein weakly zigzagging; secondary veins extended from margin with obtuse angles of 100 to 160 degrees and joining the midvein with angles decreasing distally; intersecondary veins present. Tertiary veins percurrent and chevroned; quaternary veins mixed percurrent. Areolation development moderate; freely ending veinlets once or twice branched. There are 2–4 seeds per follicle.
