- Diagnosis
- Samara elliptical, adjoined by two lateral wings. Fruit
wings broad, oblique in shape with two beak-shaped stigmas. A prominent
axial vein laterally deflecting in its course from pedicel to stigmatic
notch. Surface and margin of samara glabrous. Seed at the
center of samara and the apex toward the notch. The seed close to the
samara base. Perigynous tube narrow and deep and calyx shallowly
lobed. Gynophore visible.
