- Diagnosis
- Leaves oval, acuminate, obliquely rounded basally, 6-8 cm long and 4.3-4.8 cm wide; margin sparsely and shallowly toothed, but the basally entire. Midvein relatively strong, lateral veins pinnate, ca. 5-6 pairs, the first pair of which opposite and not basal, bearing numerous veinlets, alternate or subopposite, not reaching the margin. From the secondary and third pairs of lateral veins, they bear 1-3 veins approaching the margin and reaching into the teeth of the margin. The angle between the mid-vein and laterals larger on one side of the leaf (ca. 60°) than the other side (ca. 45°). Lateral veins near the base have larger angles with the midvein, and the angles decrease acropetally; they branched near the margin and interconnected with neighboring lateral veins. Tertiary veins perpendicular to the secondary veins, and near the midvein connected with the thin veins from the midvein.
