- Diagnosis
- Plant with axes up to 9 mm in diameter branching by very wide dichotomies (H- or K-type branching pattern). Axes bear stout, slightly curved spines about 2 mm long with a broad, decurrent base; no regular phyllotaxy apparent. Fertile regions of the axes possess stalks up to 4 mm long each with a terminal, ovoid sporangium which attains maximum dimensions of 5 × 8 mm.
