Diagnosis
Oblate megaspore; surface of perispore having numerous intertwined hairs; no floats or floatlike structures apparent; outline scalloped; inner layer of perispore spiny with scattered, short spines; surface of inner perispore between spines verrucate. Neither massulae nor vegetative remains known.
