Neotypus was designated by Barthel (in Schriftenreihe Geol. Wiss. 16: 281. 23 Sep 1980: Museum für Naturkunde, Berlin, Germany - MB.Pb.1997/0093 figured as pl. 1: 1); but since the holotype of Schlotheim was found later, the neotypification is rejected as superfluous.
