- Diagnosis
- Pith small to medium in size, solid and heterocellular, with
secretory cells. Primary xylem endarch. Secondary xylem homoxylic,
with growth rings. Araucarian radial pitting, uniseriate, rarely biseriate.
Xylem rays uniseriate, medium (1–10 cells high). Araucarioid crossfields
showing up to eight large and unordered oculipores.
