- Diagnosis
- Female reproductive structure consisting of a plicate pedicel,
gradually expanding into a cup-shaped collar with smooth collar
rim. Conical protrusion with a round hole at the top of the collar inner
surface. Anticlinal cell walls straight to irregularly thickened; the
periclinal ones smooth to convex, sometimes with flattened to the hollow
papilla. Sometimes with stomata on the pedicel and inner surface of
the collar, stomata more common on the outer surface of the collar. Subsidiary cells without papillae.
