Originally published as a new combination based on invalidly published Perimneste jiuquanensis S. Wang, Gansu Jiuquan Pendi Zhongxinshengdai Lunzao Huashi pp.[467, 487]. 1965; treated as a new variety (taxon) since holotype was designated and a full reference to S. Wang's 1965 protologue with English description was provided.
