- Diagnosis
- Pinnate fern fronds with linguaeform or elongate
subtriangular, predominantly lobed or pinnatifid pinnules.
Lateral veins bifurcate; second bifurcation of a vein
occurs in the distal branch of the first bifurcation, and the
third bifurcation in the middle of the resulting three
branches. Fertile pinnules with a single row of sori on
either side of midvein. Sori radial with usually four or five
sporangia yielding laevigate to microgranulate, monolete
spores.
