- Diagnosis
- Fruit trilocular, pyriform, hexagonal in
transverse view, with six longitudinal keels coinciding with the
three septa and the crest of each carpel. Pericarp surface smoothly
concave between keels. Locules single seeded. Seeds elongate, relatively
compressed dorsiventrally, each with a prominent caruncle
about one-third to one-half as long as the rest of the seed body.
